her

immediately.

Strong arms,

open smile.

Hair of the raven.

Sharp eyes

seeking

to know, to understand.

Unexpected laughter.

Wit.

I focus my attention.

Deeper we go.

Athena,

Goddess of war.

Yes, yes,

I see you there,

hiding

in your ever

so sensible shoes,

and corporate

blouse.

You can’t fool me.

I’m with you

on the mountaintop.

Icy wind whipping

your hair,

clear blue sky,

with thunder… how odd.

Yet not odd at

all.

We talk of strategy,

courage, skill and

justice.

You are the Goddess of wisdom,

after all.

And then you leave, and

I’m left in awe,

of being truly seen,

of knowing my place

in a much more magnificent universe.

Thank you,

oh wise one,

for reminding me again

that we really

should take up more space,

to truly flourish.
