three bottles of wine
in the fridge
this morning:
rosé,
pinotage,
and a cap classique
I’d been saving.
That said, this volume
of alcohol
is also
more
than I have
consumed in
the last
six months.

So what
is actually
happening
here?

Well, see,
I’m doing that
thing
that most
humans do
when we like
someone,
and also feel
a little
nervous…
We pull out
all the
stops
to try to
impress them.

I realised
what I was
doing
by the time
I closed the
fridge
door.

And yes,
I do believe
that, in the Southern Hemisphere,
we should
chill our
pinotage
slightly, so there!

Back to the fridge
door.
Yes, I knew
what I
was doing, and
I did it
anyway,
because I believe
that we really
should show
the people
who we like and
love, that
we make an
effort
to be nice
to them,
for they
add
so much
goodness
and full cream
living
to our days.

So perhaps
today, this
will inspire
you
to make that
call, send
that text,
share that meme,
buy that coffee, or
send that bunch
of
flowers,
or simply
enjoy
a great
glass of
wine.
