that keeps us
from dropping to
our deaths
in the deep, darkness
of the abyss.
For the loss of
hope
is truly
dismal.
There
literally is no
point.
To anything,
or anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And yes,
In my own life,
I often forget
to nurture this
delicate beast.
Instead
plodding forward
like an ogre seeking
a rare gem,
feet pounding,
hands clutching,
in the dark.
The lack of illuminating
hope, keelhauling
what little
momentum,
I thought
I\u2019d achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So today\u2019s
another script flip.
I\u2019m actively noting
the hopeful things
in my life.
The signposts to
better,
to fulfilment,
to that place
my hankering heart
is dragging me.
One slow yet steady step, after
another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hope is
also a gift
that some of
my dearest
friends bestow
so freely,
one would think
it\u2019s as
simple as
breathing.
Yet it is
not.
Instead, it shows
care, kindness,
forethought
and that deepest
of shared pleasures:
wanting
the other to
flourish
and succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So hope
IS part of my strategy.
For connection,
for keeping my own
dreams on track,
for showing care
and genuine interest
in the handful
of special, deep relationships
that will
last us
these lifetimes
and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hope,
such a tiny

a hugely
impactful
force.
