of sorts
today.
There\u2019s a dull
ache. Nothing
that needs
medical attention
of the official kind.
Instead,
it\u2019s my heart. She\u2019s
not quite
herself. Despite
the extra sleep, and
stretching out across
the entire bed.
Despite eating
all the chocolate
myself, without needing
to share.
Despite watching
exactly what I wanted
without having to
negotiate and compromise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
See,
I seem to have
missed
a trick here.
The wonder IS
in the compromise,
in the negotiation,
in the figuring out
how two bodies share
one space.
In the shared jokes
and laughter. In the
eyegazing and the
hand touch,
and the smell of that
spot just beneath
your left
ear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even the
dogs are
restless. Not
quite understanding
where their
other human
went.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So yeah,
it might be
true. I may
indeed miss you,
the very tiniest
