a moment where
flow happens.
Where you\u2019re
doing the thing,
without having to
actively try
to do the thing\u2026
The mechanics inside
you spin,
the rhythm establishes
itself, and
things just work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I felt about five
seconds of
this, on
the water
this morning. It
felt glorious,
and in those few
moments I
knew that things
were starting to make
sense, on a
muscle memory
level.
And then the moment
slipped away,
my movements
felt laboured and clunky.
I had to work at
it again, hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yet something
inside me shifted. See.
I can do this.
Almost a
year\u2019s worth of effort,
has paid off, for what
I hope to be at least 30 more
years of enjoying this
thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It may be months before
I feel that moment
again, yet now I know
it\u2019s there.
Which reminded me:
I have to keep
going, and
take notice
of the small signals.
The crumbs, rather
than the whole cake,
or even a slice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Progress can be tiny
slivers. And that\u2019s
ok
