Seasons change

as do people.

Today

the colder air

is rolling

in.

And it reminds

me

again,

how much I love

the rain

and the cozy

hygge

winter brings.

Candles, pillows, fluffy throws.

I’m sure I’ll miss

the heat

of summer, eventually

and the early morning

daylight.

For now, though

I’m luxuriating

in the crisper weather.

People 

are much the same,

I find.

They come in different speeds, 

and also

for reasons,

seasons and

occasionally lifetimes.

I have one lifetimer,

and she knows 

who she is.

It’s also been

interesting for me

to see my friends and lovers

migrate between

categories,

shifting from reason to

season, and visa 

versa.

Which reminds me again:

the only constant,

is change,

and people change

all the time.
