Road trips

are interesting.
Trap
multiple humans
in a
small metal
tube.

Give them time.
Varying levels
of bladder
control,
boredom,
and hunger.

Then simply
stand back,
and watch
the drama
unfold.

At best.
there will be
fun stories
shared.
Perhaps too
many carbs
consumed, and
a common understanding
about the
passenger seat not
having access to
any level of
braking capability.

At worst
someone may be
left at the side
of the road,
hubris at
an all-time low,
with several vows
to never, ever
do this again.

So while finding
middle ground
between Taylor Swift
and Metalica
may indeed
be impossible,
the joy of
seeping yourself
in uninterrupted
time with
some of your favourite humans
should
not
be underestimated.
