brings with
it a certain
quiet melancholy.
Moments of
acknowledging the gaps
that those we
have loved, and lost,
leave behind.
Moments of could have,
should have, and why
didn’t I,
do better.
It’s a time of
year where
body batteries run
low. And things,
are stacked on top
of other things, and when
dealing with “just one things”
feels near impossible.
It’s also
a time of
quiet reflection. About
taking stock, and counting
those chickens that
came
home to
roost.
So not quite
the consumerism fest
punted out in the “real”
world. Yet a
wonderful time
to exhale, sleep in,
and enjoy the
company of those
wonderful beings
closest…
